Sara Murado, Architect

Sara has worked with Sage and Coombe Architects on design and construction administration for a variety of civic and cultural projects over the last decade, most recently leading the effort to complete the award-winning Bronx River Art Center. Her experience includes work on the Greater Newark Conservancy, the Noguchi Museum, the Ocean Breeze Indoor Athletic Center, the Clemente Center, and the Buckley School. In response to the devastation of Hurricane Sandy in 2012, Sara was part of the team developing the reconstruction of the Rockaways Beaches for Sage and Coombe in collaboration with the Department of Parks and Recreation, the Mayor’s Office, and the Department of Design and Construction. Currently, she is managing the expansion of the Brooklyn Heights Synagogue and as part of New York’s Design Excellence Initiative, overseeing the design of an open-air beachfront theater in the Rockaways.

Sara received her BA from New York University and her Masters in Architecture from the Yale School of Architecture.
